Getting Started with a Web Site

What do you need?
ISP. There are many local Internet
Services Providers
(ISP) who can provide you with your connection to the WorldWideWeb
for a reasonable monthly service charge. The ISP provides sufficient space to house your website, handle traffic
to the site, and provide your email addresses, and in addition may provide a dial up
connection to the WorldWideWeb, if this is required.
Web Browser. You access the WorldWideWeb via computer software
known as a "browser". Many web browsers are available including those from
Netscape and Microsoft. These programs enable you to view websites on the web and to
read and send your email.
Web Designer and Publisher. Your web designer and publisher
functions to translate specifics about your company, services, products and/or information
into an attractive and appealing site which will capture the interest and attention of
your audience.
